CAT Exam 2024-2025 examination will be conducted on 24th November 2024, and CAT 2024 is likely to be administered by IIM Calcutta. Common Admission Test Cat 2024 Exam is scheduled to be conducted on 24 November 2024 in three shifts. It is going to be a computer-based test in more than 170 cities.
The CAT score is valid for admissions to 21 IIMs and other MBA colleges and business schools across India. The exam is conducted every year by one of the top six IIMs by rotation. IIM Calcutta will conduct the CAT Exam 2024 in India. The official notification for the CAT Exam has been published on 28 July 2024. The CAT 2024 registration procedure starts at iimcat.ac. on 1 August 2024 and will last till 13 September 2024. This year also, the fee for the CAT exam has been increased.

Eligibility Criteria
- The candidate has to meet up with the following criteria in order to sit for the CAT exam 2024-2025.
- Bachelor’s degree with aggregate marks of 50% or equivalent CGPA (45% for SC, ST, and PWD/DA category) from a known university.
- Final year students of bachelor’s degree or awaiting results.
- Inside the degree proficiency: CA/CS/ICWA/FCAI or whatever may be the case, with the required percentile.

To ace CAT 2024-2025 preparation, these are a few tips that could help
- Preparation time: for at least nine months.
- Join coaching classes or you can prepare yourself through self-study
- Prepare your study material according to your strengths and weaknesses.
- Plan a Study Strategy: Divide the syllabus into smaller parts and phases of time that you have available to prepare. Make a schedule to give specific daily time to your CAT preparations and stick by it. You should ensure that every section of the paper is getting its due time.
- Baseline establishment: Try to find where you are weak or relatively a bit more difficult for you and then try to allocate time to every topic of each section and set baseline understanding at the beginning of your CAT preparation.
- Choose the Mode of Preparation: You can choose to coach for CAT 2024-2025, or you can use the self-prep programs, or you can even join any CAT coaching program. A coaching program would take care of all the preparation parts. CAT Exam Pattern
There is no change in the CAT exam 2024-2025 pattern. CAT 2024 is a 120-minute or two-hour, multiple choice question or MCQ-based test. In the CAT exam, candidates have to solve 66 questions from VARC, DILR, and QA. Some of the major features of the CAT 2024-2025 exam pattern are given below.
- The CAT exam 2024-2025 will take place in three sessions
- All three sections will be separated by time limit i.e, there is 40 minutes time for each section
- The CAT has been segmented into three sections that are VARC, DILR, and QA
- +3 mark will be rewarded for the correct answer
- -1 mark will be reduced for an incorrect answer
- Questions for both non-MCQs and skipping questions contain no negative marking.

CAT Result 2024
- The result of CAT 2024 will be announced at the IIM CAT website after 20-30 days from the date of the test.
